KFinance, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") respects the privacy of users of JapanLifeConcierge (hereinafter referred to as "Users") and ensures the proper handling of Users' personal information in accordance with the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Privacy Policy").
1. Personal Information
In this Privacy Policy, personal information refers to information that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, age, gender, address, telephone number, family composition, hobbies, preferences, email address, ID, IP address and timestamp, employer, affiliation, workplace address, workplace telephone number, credit card number, bank account number, information on visited websites, complaints, inquiries or consultation information, etc., alone or in combination with one or more of these pieces of information.
2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Company will use the personal information acquired for the following purposes:
(1) To provide our services for the purpose of supporting long-term stays and relocation to Japan.
(2) To bill users of our paid services.
(3) For contacting users, providing service information, and sending gifts, etc.
(4) To customize the information, services, and advertisements on our service pages according to users' ages, occupations, genders, hobbies, and preferences.
(5) For the improvement of our services or the development of new services, etc.
(6) To prevent the use of our services in violation of the Terms of Service.
(7) To create statistical data in an anonymized format regarding our services.
3. Limitations Based on Purpose of Use
The Company will handle personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use. The Company will not handle personal information beyond the scope of these purposes without obtaining the prior consent of the individual. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
(1) When required by law.
(2) When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.
(3) When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.
(4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a state institution, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by them to execute affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the person could impede the execution of the affairs.
4. Acquisition of Information
The Company will acquire personal information by lawful and fair means and will not acquire it through improper means against the will of the User. When acquiring personal information indirectly, the Company will verify whether the information has been properly acquired from the individual by the provider.
5. Notification of Purpose of Use at the Time of Acquisition
When acquiring personal information, the Company will notify or announce the purpose of use in advance. If the purpose of use changes, the Company will notify or announce this to the User. The Company will use personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use.
6. Proper Protection of Personal Information
The Company will take appropriate measures to keep Users' personal information accurate and up-to-date. In addition, the Company will take necessary and appropriate safety management measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and manage the information securely. For inquiries about the content of safety management measures, please contact the inquiry desk listed in Article 17 below.
7. Supervision of Employees and Contractors
The Company will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to employees handling personal information. When entrusting the handling of personal information, the Company will conclude necessary contracts such as basic contracts regarding the custody of personal information and will provide necessary and appropriate supervision to the trustee.
8. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company will not provide Users' personal information to third parties without the consent of the User, except when the recipient and content of the information are specified and consent is obtained. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
(1) When the Company's subcontractors provide information or services on behalf of the Company through direct mail, email, or other means.
(2) When it is necessary for the Company's subcontractors to provide individual services such as after-sales service on behalf of the Company.
(3) When providing statistical information for the purpose of aggregating or analyzing individual personal information and disclosing the statistical data in a format that does not identify individuals.
(4) When entrusting personal information of Users using paid services to payment system companies, credit companies, and banks (with whom a confidentiality agreement has been concluded) for the purpose of billing for paid services.
(5) When providing Users' personal information to delivery companies for the purpose of shipping gifts, etc.
(6) In other cases where it is necessary to outsource within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
(7) When provision is permitted by law.
(8) When providing to entities defined as "co-users" in cases of joint use of personal
information.
9. Disclosure of Personal Information
Upon request from the User, the Company will promptly disclose the User's personal information. However, the Company may not disclose all or part of the information in the following cases:
(1) When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the User or a third party.
(2) When there is a significant risk of impeding the proper execution of the Company's operations.
(3) When it would violate other laws.
10. Procedures for Correction, Suspension of Use, etc., of Personal Information
Upon request from the User for notification of the purpose of use, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties of their personal information, the Company will confirm the identity of the User and respond within a reasonable period.
11. Disclaimer
The Company is not responsible for the acquisition of personal information by third parties in the following cases:
(1) When the User discloses personal information to a third party using the functions of the Company's services or other means.
(2) When an individual is identified based on information entered by the User on the Company's services.
12. Use of Statistical Data
The Company may create statistical data based on Users' personal information, processed in a way that individuals cannot be identified. The Company can use anonymized statistical data without any restrictions.
13. Use of Cookies, etc.
When Users use the services of the Company or its partners, or view pages, the Company automatically receives information such as the User's IP address, cookie information, viewed advertisements/pages, and usage environment from the User's browser and records it on the server. The Company may use information about Users, such as gender, occupation, age, viewed pages/ads, usage time, method of use, and usage environment, to consider new services, tailor the content of existing services and advertisements to Users, or to analyze and provide information on what advertisements, information, or services to post or provide effectively. The Company may also select survey subjects for analysis. The analysis results will not include information that can identify individuals. The Company may outsource the display and distribution of some advertisements on its site to third-party companies. If these third-party companies set cookies, the information will be recorded on the third-party companies' servers and managed under their privacy policies.
14. Revision of the Privacy Policy
The Company may revise all or part of the Privacy Policy. The Company will follow legal procedures for specific changes and will announce significant changes on the Company's website.

The Company will comply with the laws and other regulations and guidelines of the Personal Information Protection Commission related to the protection of personal information.
